Motherwell have all but assured ourselves that we'll not finish bottom on the Premiership, and in the process virtually confirmed that St Mirren will following our five-nil thrashing of them on Tuesday.

This was a 'six-pointer' for both sides, but more so St Mirren really, but with them going away from Fir Park having been hammered, meaning we move 10-points clear of them, their best hope - which is a slim one - is to claw a way off the foot of the table to take part in the relegation play-offs, something we'll be looking to make sure we now avoid with some momentum building....
Despite this win we remain three-points behind Ross, who face St Mirren on Monday, in 10th place after they beat St Johnstone but nowhere near as convincingly as we had St Mirren!

Erwin (7) got us off to a perfect start when he opened the scoring, finishing off from an Ainsworth cross. It was Erwin (25) again that doubled the lead, with a similar finish, at the midway point of the half again from an Ainsworth assist with him starting to find his best form at the right time again.
McDonald (45) added the third on the stroke of half time, again Ainsworth had a part to play with him setting up Johnson who pulled the ball back to McDonald who did the rest to end the contest before the break.
Sutton (74) headed home a Johnson freekick to make it four before a consolation for St Mirren was denied them when Mallan curled against the post.
The visitors' misery compounded when McDonald's effort, which had been blocked, was forced home by Sutton (79) for his second goal, five-minute after his first to round off a five-nil win.
