Motherwell 1-1 Ross County - Premiership
The chances that Motherwell aren't going to have to endure a relegation play-off are virtually over now following a failure to beat Ross County on Saturday, with us pegged back in a draw.
A lead was something that we held for a while but we couldn't take this into the break, with Ross' equaliser just ahead of this earning them a one-one draw at Fir Park, which means it's near certain we'll be playing-off against Hibernian, Rangers or Queen of the South to stay in the Premiership.

Johnson and McDonald had both gone close before it was McDonald (19) who got us off to a good start when he had us ahead inside 20-minutes, getting onto the end of Law's cross.
Ross, who knew a draw would be more than acceptable for them, threatened with Woods denied by Long but he couldn't prevent an equaliser just before half time when Boyce (41) made it one-one as he curled home.
Knowing we had to win, a draw did nothing for us, Pearson was denied only by 'last ditch challenges' with Grant denied on a couple of occasions by Ross 'keeper Brown as the game ended one-one.

With just three-matches left, and a six-point deficit to overturn, it's highly unlikely we'll catch Ross now but with St Mirren losing to Partick Thistle it means it's even less likely we'll be caught by them now as we're eight-points clear of automatic relegation.
